Trump Watch ...
Epic & Epochal!
That about sums up President Trump's withdrawal from the Paris Climate Agreement in early June. For, with one bravestroke, he reined in the Gadarene Gallop of nations towards Watermelon World Government (green on the outside/red on the inside), and saved America from the Great Carbon Con — a giant ponzi scheme, wrapped in a delusion, inside a fairytale called "The Emperor's New Clothes."
Created and orchestrated by former presidential candidate Al Gore, the multi-trillion-dollar Con touts endless scams designed to solve the non-problem of carbon-dioxide: the purchase of carbon-gulping trees to offset the carbon you exhale; the buying and selling of permits and credits to emit CO2 ("carbon trading"), and on and on. Yet such lunacies have not discredited Gore and his fellow anti-carbon tycoons. On the contrary, they have institutionalised their Carbon Apocalypse scenario: brainwashing the ignorant and gullible, while endangering free speech, entire economies, and the credibility of science itself in the process.
Financially, it is a voracious beast ransacking national coffers. Consider the estimates of renowned Danish statistician Bjorn Lomborg, former director of the Danish government's Environmental Assessment Institute, now President of the Copenhagen Consensus Center. When Barack Obama was stoking climate hysteria, pushing the Paris accord and setting risible carbon-reducing targets for America, Lomborg said:
We will spend at least one hundred trillion dollars in order to reduce the temperature by the end of the century by a grand total of three tenths of one degree... the equivalent of postponing warming by less than four years.... Again, that is using the UN's own climate prediction model.
If the U.S. delivers for the whole century on President Obama's very ambitious rhetoric, it would postpone global warming by about eight months at the end of the century.
But here is the biggest problem: These miniscule benefits do not come free — quite the contrary. The cost of the UN Paris climate pact is likely to run 1 to 2 trillion dollars every year.
So, the Paris commitments, according to Lomborg, will reduce temperatures by just 0.05°C in 2100. As the head of the U.S. Environment Protection Agency, Scott Pruitt, explained to the press, President Trump understood all this. The Paris withdrawal was a "courageous decision" that took all sides of the issue into consideration, he said. "It was a failed deal to begin with and even if all targets are met by the nations on the globe, it was reducing temperature two-tenths of one degree. That's what the president focused on."
Imagine: focusing on evidence!
Other leaders prefer to focus on political survival. As Trump rescues America from yet another calamity, his 337 foreign counterparts prefer to put their countries in terminal hock by signing the Agreement. Fearful of being labelled 'deniers', they march in ruinous lockstep: handing out blank cheques to global warming scammers exploiting carbon emission limits at taxpayer expense. (In fact, taxpayers fork out twice: funding extravagant subsidies for unnecessary and inefficient projects which hugely increase their energy bills!)
Naturally, the anti-carbon cabal did not appreciate Trump's horse sense. Gripped by political correctness and self-interest, they howled down his decision as genocidal: destined to melt the earth, and life on earth.
On shameful cue, the Pope's henchmen joined in the hysterical denunciation: "It will be a disaster for everyone," wailed Bishop Sanchez Sorondo. "Not only a disaster, but completely unscientific," he added, with the faux scientific air of a prelate whose Pontifical Academy of Sciences is filled with evolutionists!
Indeed, sixty years ago, the Modernist Sorondo would've just as surely decried 'deniers' of Piltdown Man; the apeman fraud presented by the scientific establishment as an evolutionary fact for decades (until it became too embarrassing to sustain, and new 'missing links' were duly contrived).
The faithless urgency with which partisans of FrancisChurch embrace the fads and fashions of popular culture is excruciating to behold. In this case, despite Sorondo's ignorant outburst, President Trump made a perfectly scientific decision: one based on a sensible assessment of the inconvenient facts that snout-in-trough globalists and their compromised 'experts' will not countenance: viz., that warming evidence is neither settled, nor compelling — and most certainly not sufficient to empty Fort Knox over!
This is attested by tens of thousands of scientists discounted or misrepresented by an Australian survey cooked up by well known alarmists to 'prove' a 97-percent scientific consensus on global warming: as primarily man-made and dangerous. Parroted as an irrefutable fact ever since, this bogus statistic (which even managed to squeeze renowned warming sceptics into the 97%!) is to the warming industry what Piltdown Man was to evolutionists: the Big Lie that sustains the fraud.
In truth, a close scrutiny of the survey's spurious methodology and findings revealed that, of the nearly 12,000 abstracts of published studies on global warming reviewed, only a tiny percentage of them actually expressed the supposed 'consensus' view.
Meanwhile, beyond academic papers, untold numbers of flesh-and-blood scientists demur; to include the towering figure of Freeman Dyson, a theoretical physicist and mathematician from Princeton University.
Quietly spoken and self-effacing, the English-born Dyson moved to America after the war, where he remains one its most famous scientists. A (non-denominational) Christian with the accent and air of a diffident Cambridge don, that such a scientific genius professes belief in God has long infuriated Richard Dawkins and his atheistic ilk. Their blood pressure mounted further when the great man brought his independent mind and unimpeachable expertise and integrity to bear on their religion — the Cult of Unholy Carbon. The ensuing interview explains why.
Conducted in April 2015 by Conversations That Matter, Dyson hoses down warming alarmism with the sort of calm, objective analysis one rarely reads or hears because it vindicates the likes of President Trump, while exposing multiple dangers of the scam. Not least financial waste of biblical proportions, and the consequent neglect of so many genuinely pressing, uncontroverted issues.
For example, the 10,000 coal mine fires currently burning out of control worldwide that pour out massive amounts of carbon into the atmosphere every year. "Hardly a word is uttered in any quarter even acknowledging this terrific problem — an air quality, climate, and resource waste of the first order," writes Newsmax columnist David Nabhan. One might reasonably think and expect the last of these fires to be extinguished before the first factory would be closed down to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, he muses.
No chance!
Firstly, ideologues are never reasonable and rational.
Secondly, dealing with concrete problems costs money; demonising and monetising CO2 is a license to print it.
